Directions:
In this assignment, you will design your own original PE game! The game can be for any type of physical activity, and it should include rules, objectives, and equipment (if necessary). Your goal is to create a fun and active game that others can play during PE class. Use the following guidelines to help structure your game:
Game Name: What will you call your game?
Objective: What is the goal of the game? (e.g., score points, work as a team, complete tasks, etc.)
Rules: Describe the rules clearly. What are the dos and don’ts? How does someone win or lose the game?
Equipment: What equipment do you need? (e.g., balls, cones, jump ropes, etc.)
Number of Players: How many people can play at once?
Safety Tips: How can players stay safe while playing your game?
Once you've designed your game, record a short video demonstrating how to play it. Include instructions, the rules, and a sample round of gameplay. You can work in small groups or individually to create your game.
Submission:
Upload your game design and video demonstration to Google Drive and share the link with me. If you're working in a group, make sure all group members are credited.
Reflection:
In your submission, reflect on why you chose your particular game and how it encourages physical activity. How did you make sure the game was fair and fun for everyone? What skills do players need to be successful in your game?

Why These Standards Apply: In the group sport skill demonstration video, students work together to demonstrate key sport skills such as passing, shooting, dribbling, or serving. This activity focuses on locomotor skills, balance, and coordination, as students perform tasks requiring correct technique, such as jumping and landing or cross-lateral movements. Additionally, students practice effective communication and teamwork to successfully complete the demonstration. This assignment also emphasizes sportsmanship and resolving conflicts, encouraging students to show respect for one another while engaging in physical activities and games. By demonstrating these skills and collaborating on the video, students apply the concepts of game strategies, teamwork, and healthy competition.
