Meet the Staff

About

Ms. Margocs landed in Texas after a worldwide tour as an Army BRAT. She graduated from U.T. Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in the areas of General Elementary and Special Education. She taught in Lago Vista, became a mom, worked in a neonatal intensive care unit, facilitated ARD meetings in Round Rock ISD, and was a special education teacher at Anderson Mill Elementary, in that order! Her two children are legacy Armadillos.  She graduated with her Master's degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University in 2012, and became Patsy Sommer Elementary's librarian in 2013.  She returned to AME as the campus librarian in 2020.  Ms. Margocs resides in Austin with her quality control engineer husband.  Her son is a 2021 graduate of the University of North Texas.  Her daughter, a 2016 graduate of Austin College, just moved back to Texas from Japan with her husband.  One of Ms Margocs' favorite phrases is "book coma"; besides reading, she enjoys crocheting and baking.
