Use one sentence starter each day. Remember to write interesting sentences. Write at least 2 paragraphs. Use your imagination. Click on the picture to choose one sentence starter for each day. Ask yourself questions: What? When? Where? Who? Why? How? You have 10-15 mins to write.

Research a NZ athlete that competed in the Olympics. Write about what kind of athlete she/he is. ie, skills, values, attributes, hardworking, team player, gives personal best etc.

What is the name of your NZ Olympic Athlete? What is their natural talent? What makes your athlete have a competitive drive? How is your athlete coordinated and disciplined? What does your athlete do to practice and train? What achievements have they made leading up to the Olympic Games?

Remember to:

• use a range of sentences

• add detail to sentences

• sentences make sense

• organise ideas into paragraphs

• use correct grammar and punctuation
