Who's the ideal Tech Teach Across Texas student?

How does this degree program work?

Tech Teach Across Texas is a 2+1 program in which students with their Associates of Arts in Teaching can obtain their Bachelor of Elementary Education and teaching certificate in one year.

In this program you will be required to complete a full year of student teaching with Roscoe Collegiate ISD. During the fall term you will be in your classroom placement three days a week and attend cluster (in person class) one day a week. During the spring term you will student teach four days a week along with cluster one day a week. During the summer term you will student teach four days a week. Cluster will be held in Roscoe with your site coordinator.

During the year you will maintain full-time coursework in addition to the duties of student teaching.

This program provides local support from the Mentor Teacher as well as the Site Coordinator.

Tuition for this program starts around $16-18,000. This includes tuition and books.

All degrees are provided by Tech Teach Across Texas through Texas Tech University.

  • Bachelor of Science in Education
    • Also receive your EC-6 or 4-8 math teaching certificate
    • You can also specialize in ESL, Special Education, and Literacy

Does this university accept transfer credits?

Texas Tech University 2+1 Teach Across Texas accepts a transfer of an Associates of Arts in Teaching.

66 completed core curriculum transferable hours

Foreign language requirement (2 years from high school or 2 semester at the college level)
