Tech Teach Across Texas 2+1

Tech Teach Across Texas is a 2+1 program in which students with their Associates of Arts in Teaching can obtain their Bachelor of Elementary Education and teaching certificate in one year.

In this program you will be required to complete a full year of student teaching with Roscoe Collegiate ISD. During the fall term you will be in your classroom placement three days a week and attend cluster (in person class) one day a week. During the spring term you will student teach four days a week along with cluster one day a week. During the summer term you will student teach four days a week. Cluster will be held in Roscoe with your site coordinator.

During the year you will maintain full-time coursework in addition to the duties of student teaching.

This program provides local support from the Mentor Teacher as well as the Site Coordinator.

All degrees are provided by Tech Teach Across Texas through Texas Tech University.

  • Also receive your EC-6 or 4-8 math teaching certificate
  • You can also specialize in ESL, Special Education, and Literacy

There are many scholarships that are applicable to this program. Upon entering the program you will be counseled on what to apply for.

For Tech Texas Across Texas 2+1 your expectations are:

1. Complete weekly placement expectations (fall, spring, and summer).
2. Attend cluster (in person class in Roscoe) each week.
3. Maintain appropriate GPA
4. Pass the CORE exam by December.
