Brandman University

Who's the ideal Brandman MyPath™ student?

You'd thrive at Brandman if you:

    • work full time, have a family, a busy schedule or other commitments that make it difficult for you to adhere to traditional, on-ground university schedule

    • need a flexible school schedule - some weeks you can study at 10 am, others it's 9 pm (for example)

    • want to earn an associate degree, a bachelor's degree, or both

    • want to change careers OR want to get promoted but are getting turned down because you don't have the right credentials

    • need or want a really strong support system that will include faculty personalizing the assistance they provide, a coach who meets with you weekly to help you stay on track and problem solve when life gets hard, and a One Stop who is there to answer questions on financial aid and other support systems

    • want to have the flexibility to move at your own pace toward graduation and perhaps choose to reduce time to degree and/or slow down on subjects that might be a struggle

How does this degree program work?

Brandman MyPath™ is a portfolio of fully accredited online degree programs - but not your typical, traditional online programs.

Brandman MyPath™ is project-based, real world learning that focuses on connecting what you're learning in school with your life. That means you spend time showing mastery of skills ("competencies") instead of listening to lectures and taking tests. Expect more projects, more presentations and more papers - but way fewer multiple choice exams. If you don't master a competency on your first try, you can try again with feedback and help from your professor. It's all about learning, no matter if that takes you 4 weeks or 4 months. There are no standard semesters - as soon as you show mastery, you move on to the next competency (and the next one, and the next one) until your payment period ends. Think about it like a Netflix subscription - you pay your tuition and then earn as many competencies as you can.

Because Brandman MyPath™ is so flexible, it can be easy to procrastinate. But that's okay! That's why EduNationU is here. If you pick Brandman MyPath™, EduNationU will match you with a full-time coach who's there to walk with you every step of the way. They'll check in on you weekly, help you set goals, problem solve when you get behind, and encourage you when you feel like giving up. They'll also help you with financial aid, billing, scholarships, technology, and whatever else you might need.

What does it cost?

Tuition at Brandman MyPath™ is $3,200 per 6 month semester (or $6,400 per year). Your coursework, textbooks and study materials are available online and are included in the cost of tuition. You can use federal financial aid to pay tuition, in addition to any employer tuition reimbursement or scholarship funds you might have. Brandman also accepts the GI Bill!

There are just a few extra fees at Brandman - if you need to take an exam for a 2nd or 3rd time, that's $100/exam. When you're ready to graduate, there's a degree conferral fee of $150. Continuation fees of $100/month may apply if you exceed the usual session period; however, if you are continuing to make progress, we’ll recognize that effort. But that's it! No books or rec center fees or other random costs.
