At Romsey, we ensure that each individual is supported in their mental wellbeing and in developing their emotional regulation. By taking an individual centered approach, the care needs of our pupils are met through individualised support and by developing strategies that work for them.
Each individual student will have an individualised learning plan linked to their EHCP targets. We work closely with parents/carers, therapists and other external agencies to ensure students receive the highest level of care and support.
Students are encouraged to use the Base in which ever form suits them and their stage of learning and development. The Base is manned fulltime to lend a hand at any point in the school day. We run a breakfast, breaktime and lunch club as well as after school supported homework sessions. Students are encouraged to build friendships from across the school; students are welcome to bring friends to spend time in the Base at break and lunch.
The staff group are a highly skilled group of learning support assistants that care for all aspects of the students school lives. Key workers are assigned to each student to ensure there is regular and effective communication between home and school.
