Here are some simple games to play with your child. When working on academic skills focus on what your child already knows and slowly add new skills as their learning progresses.
Number and Letter Game
Using a stuffed animal have your child raise the animal above their head, behind their back, in front of them, beside them, next to them, between you and them, etc.
Using a deck of cards, have your child sort the cards by suite, colors, numbers. Have your child tell you the number on the card and then tell you what's one more. Flip 2 cards over and tell which one is more or less.
Take your child on a walk and have them look for letters on street signs, traffic signs, billboards, etc. Walk in a fun way by skipping, hopping or walking backwards!
Dominoes
These are a great way to learn to take turns, one to one correspondence, losing gracefully, being happy for the person who wins, building fine motor skills, recall, counting, patience, persistence, and just having fun with your family.
