Paige completed Business Studies in Years 11 and 12 and was encouraged to apply for the Cert IV Business Traineeship at Stanwell Power Station. She was then successful in securing a trainee position within Stanwell's Stakeholder Engagement team in 2022 and even had another ex-Emmaus student as her mentor! After completing her traineeship, Paige was able to transition into a full-time position with SAMCo.
ENGINEERING ASPIRATIONS PROGRAM!
The Engineering Aspirations Program brings industry and education closer together by providing students with the opportunity to explore career pathways in Engineering. Emmaus students were recently given a chance to visit the Stanwell site, where they interacted with prominent figures from various sectors. They delved into Design, Infrastructure, Environmental Science, Electrical and Mechanical trades, gaining a deeper understanding of the field.
The Stanwell staff was extremely accommodating, providing the students with a comprehensive tour and divulging all the details on the diverse range of work that these fields offer. A huge thank you to the Stanwell staff for going above and beyond to make the students' visit a success!
