3. The Local Needs Assessment (LNA) opens January 1 and must be completed by February 15. This should be completed by school administration or a team of admin/teachers/ stakeholders. Many parts will be prepopulated with information from the PDR and CTE Program of Study Approval. The LNA addresses the required components of Perkins V and include verifying current approved Programs of Study, identifying planning team stakeholders, identifying data sources, analyzing disaggregated data, identifying areas of growth and strengths, identifying areas of opportunity and prioritizing those opportunities. The LNA must be completed before the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) as information from the LNAs will be used to prepopulate parts of the CLNA.
