Western Area Career System Board of Control

The Board of Control is composed of the Superintendent, or their designee, from each member of the agreement.  The President and President Elect serve for a term of one year.  The President Elect will automatically succeed the President. The current president is the Spoon River Valley Superintendent Chris Janssen. .  The President elect is Matt Klaska the superintendent from V.I.T.  The Board meets monthly.  The meeting dates are established at the annual August meeting.  The Board appoints the Director and assist the Director by approving policies, employment of staff, annual budgets, regulations and procedures on recommendations of the Director.
