Youth Empowerment Course

A dedicated space for young adults to come together in a peer led environment to explore wellbeing, build confidence, and plan for the future. Designed to combat limited access to mental health services, social isolation in rural areas, and a lack of youth-specific programmes in Helensville.

The Defensive Driving Course is a four-day classroom program (2 hours per session) plus a 1 hour practical driving session.

Cost: $245 per person (includes the practical driving test).   

Rodney Youth Project has funding to cover the fees of 10 young people (17-25yrs) from the Wellsford area. You must be able to attend all four classes to qualify.

8 x 1.5hr kick-boxing training sessions, led by a qualified coach ending in a Friday night, youth sparring competition in December 2025. Open to all local youth (13-18yrs), beginner fighters. The fight idea has come from the rangatahi class and they will project manage and promote the event with supervision from coach Dan.
