COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course trains students to use film as a tool for communication and self-expression in entertainment and industry. Students will study the history and aesthetics of film as a complex collaborative art form. They will explore the elements of writing, photography visual perception, and elements of design as they apply to cinematic expression. Students will analyze the use of film and video in various fields such as the film industry as well as promotional, events and social media video production . They will start by being trained using tablets at first to see how creating videos is simple and accessible in today’s world. Then we will move on to using camcorders and Adobe Premiere so as to get familiar with the tools of the trade.
