Tier 3

Tier 3 instruction is intensive and specialized small group or one-one instruction. Personalized instruction is delivered to address specific learning needs of individual students. On average about 5% of students need more intensive interventions and/or supports in order to work toward a successful school experience and to achieve growth.

Practice of this academic instruction includes the following effective approaches:

1. Determining student's strengths and building upon those strengths.

2. Providing support in the Least Restrictive Environment to optimize each student's individual growth process.

3. Accessing input from data, a team of school experts, and parent consultation.

4. Utilizing specialized curriculum , supports, resources, and staff specifically designed or equipped to address specific needs.
