Can I use Wikipedia? Yes...and no! It is a great starting place to get an idea of what you should research, but you should never use information directly from Wikipedia. Anyone can add information to Wikipedia, so it is not always accurate
How do I know if a website is reliable? Look for the author or publisher of the website and consider whether they can be trusted. Don't use websites in which anyone can submit information.
Does it matter how long ago the information was published? Yes! If you are writing a paper on the effects of distracted driving today, you would not want to use information published 30 years ago.
Do I always have to include where I found the information if I want to use it in my writing? Yes! If you use someone else's words or ideas and don't give credit to them, it is plagiarism. Changing a few words does not make it your own. When in doubt always include the citation. This is super-simple with tools like Mybib that will be introduced below!
