This tool is an extension that you can add in the Google Chrome Store that will help you with finding errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 

It identifies errors by underlining them in pink and when you click on the error it will provide suggestions for corrections. Simply click on the appropriate correction to substitute. 

Grammarly works for you everywhere! Anywhere you type Grammarly will work for you. For some assessments, you may not be able to use this resource.

To install:

2. Click "add to chrome"

3. Accept permissions 

Always proofread before you submit! Grammarly and other "checker" software are great for helping you to find errors but they are not foolproof. 

Always read and re-read your paper. Try to see it through someone else's eyes. Imagine what questions they may have or what they would ask you to fix. 

It is easy to get into a vocabulary rut. We all have those go-to words that we use when writing. Try using a thesaurus if you find yourself wanting to use the same words over-and-over. 

A thesaurus is also a great tool when you know there is a stronger or more formal word choice than the one you have in mind. 

A thesaurus can help you with sentence variety and with creating a tone that is appropriate for your intended audience.
