Using Google Sites to Showcase Learning
Meet the Presenters
Laura Moore
Secondary Mathematics Teacher in Augusta County Public Schools, VA
I graduated from Averett University with a B.S. in Mathematics. I am currently in my 17th year teaching between Augusta and Rockingham County Schools.
I have a passion for utilizing technology in the classroom. I have a strong interest in creating lessons and projects that showcase students educational success not only in the classroom but in their real lives.
I was pushed out of my comfort zone to try a google site to document student achievement by a smartgoal. Creating individual GoogleSites to measure real life learning in the classroom is a great student showcase, and has became a staple in my classroom.
Katie Moran
Instructional Technology Resource Teacher in Rockingham County Public Schools, VA
I graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and M.A.T. in Secondary Education. I had the great fortune to teach my passion for history in Rockingham County, Virginia from 2007-2016. During my teaching tenure, I discovered my love for educational technology and piloted a 1:1 digital classroom environment with iPads. Now, as an ITRT, I enjoy the opportunity to help teachers find a "best fit" approach to technology in their classroom. I am a Google for Education Certified Trainer, and I am also very interested in 360 media and virtual/augmented reality technology.
