At East Rockingham High School, our esports program is more than just gaming—it’s about bringing students together from all backgrounds to work as a team, grow as individuals, and achieve success both in and out of competition.

The mission of East Rockingham Esports is to provide any student that joins with an opportunity to develop teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking skills through competitive gaming. We believe that success in esports extends beyond the screen, shaping students into responsible leaders in the classroom and society.

ESPORTS is now a sanctioned VHSL activity!!!
In 2025-26 ESPORTS will be a sanctioned activity with the following provisions:
Fall season with championships in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate & League of Legends
Spring season with championships in Rocket League & Mario Kart 8 (New Game Title)
8-week regular season with post-seasons bracketed based on the number of playoff-eligible teams
Teams limited to a single playoff team per title for the postseason
Contest limits: 8 matches/title, plus 2 invitational tournaments
Teams and individuals are permitted to play VHSL-approved regional titles offered on the PlayVS platform outside of the titles offered as championships in the respective seasons
