Costume Rules
For the integrity of our costumes, it is necessary that you follow the rules below:
Do not eat in costume.
Do not drink anything other than water in costume.
Your costume must be hung up on your assigned hanger at the end of rehearsal/performance time.
Do not bring any parts of your costume home without permission.
Do not spray perfume or body spray while wearing your costume. Please be aware of anything you spray on yourself before putting your costume on.
If it's not yours, don't touch it! You shouldn't be wearing parts of anyone else's costume.
Dressing Rooms
Dressing rooms are a shared space. At the end of the night, both dressing rooms should be left neat and clean. Do not leave costume pieces or personal items on the floor. You each have a bin for your personal items, and that bin should be the only place where your items go.
Below is costuming info with the items you will need to provide. For ideas, check images in Google. Goodwill, Gift and Thrift, and Tried and True are places to check out. (Tried and True will give a discount if you tell them what you are purchasing for.)
Bag/Box for all costume accessories, make-up, bobby pins etc
Bobby pins/hairspray (as needed)

4. Base Layers
We encourage everyone to wear a modesty layer in the dressing rooms and for any backstage changes. Due to limited space you may not always have the luxury of complete privacy. Having a modesty layer also minimizes the risk of accidental wardrobe malfunction.
Base layers are the responsibility of the student to wash and manage.
Base layers can be changed into in bathroom stalls, whereas costume pieces should not be put on in close proximity to toilets!
Undershirt (could be a tank, a tee, a camisole)
Color depends upon character. Black or white will generally work.
Modesty Shorts
Black shorts that are close-fitting and not loose on the leg.
5. Shoes
Please see below for shoe needs. Most characters need black character shoes. These are most importantly not tennis shoes, not shiny, and should be comfortable. I have included some example images below, but these styles/brands are not required just a reference point. These can be purchased on Amazon and are typically used year-after-year for actors in many different shows.
