How do I use AVID strategies in my classroom?

I am not a teacher, but I use AVID strategies to help students be successful in and outside of the classroom. 

What is my history with AVID (time on the team, instruction, training)?

This is my second year on the RHS AVID team and I'm super excited! I plan on periodically being in the AVID classroom to assist students with their questions. This past summer I attended the AVID Institute in Minneapolis. 

What is the most important thing I would like you to know about AVID?

AVID helps students build the skills needed for them to reach their highest potential and prepare them for what's to come after high school. It is also an environment where community is built, and confidence grows.
