Use Destiny to Search for Books
To search for available books and materials in the RCHS Library, you will need to use our online catalog system, Destiny.
A tutorial video for accessing Destiny is linked to the left (video has NO sound).
In-Person Checkouts
When school is in session, in-person checkouts can take place on any day at any time. Students may visit the library with their class or on their own. The library is open in the mornings from 7:45AM until the bell rings for first period.
Curbside Checkouts
During NTI Instruction when staff reports to the school building, students may request books using the Google Form below or by emailing Mrs. Joanie (joanie.lake@rockcastle.kyschools.us). Please email and include the title and author of the book. Once requested, Mrs. Joanie will have the book ready for you at the front desk of RCHS. Students may pick up requested books on any day of the week from 8AM - 3PM. A day/time will be arranged with Mrs. Joanie. Curbside checkouts are also available for MRO students.
Junior Library Guild Digital
The information below will create accessible accounts by mid-late September!
Every RCHS Student has an account for JLG Digital! JLG allows for students to have access to 20+ books that rotate every 60-90 days! This allows for students to read DIGITAL materials at home without checking out books and materials in-person!
Use this LINK to access JLG. Please make sure you are logged into RCHS's Account BEFORE signing in to your personal account.
Your Username: firstname.lastname
Password: Your RCS Login Password (that you use for your Chromebook and Google Classroom)
*Accounts for the 23-24 school year are not yet activated.
