To my brilliant, hard-working fifth graders:

I know full well that math is not everyone's favorite subject but one of the things I want you to remember is that not everything in life comes easily to everyone. At some point we all have difficulty with one thing or another. What matters is how we respond. Do you just give up or do you put in the time and effort that makes a difference?

You are ALL capable of doing a wonderful job not just in this class but in school in general. Nothing in life comes easy but if you apply yourself and put forth 100% effort simply amazing things are bound to happen! I want you to be proud of your grades because of how much work you put in.

No matter what you want to do math is going to be a part of it. Let's embrace the challenge together!!
