Class overview


 “Warm-up” (1-3 min)

Establish communication with students

Inform the kids of what they will be doing today in GYM

Review expectations for activity levels and proper use of the equipment

Question or start a conversation that could be a good “lead-in” to the day’s lesson focus

 

Exercise Time (10-15 min)

Each week students are given an opportunity to work independently and/or in groups

Work individually with students that may need extra coaching or support.

 “Cool Down” (1-3 min)
The students are given a break from movement by siting on the half-court line to receive information pertaining to the up and coming Instructional segment.
 

"Instructional Segment" (15 min)
Students are subjected to instruction on whatever TDOE curriculum aligned skill(s) that is being introduced or reinforced for that particular week.


"Line up and Review" (5 min)
Students perform routine procedures such as any clean up of equipment, gathering of their personal belongings, and lining up to leave class.
