Thaweesak Trongtirakul, D. Eng. in Electronics and Telecommunication, is an assistance professor of Electrical Power Engineering at Faculty of Industrial Education, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP). Prior to joining RMUTP, Thaweesak was a visiting scientist at College of Staten Island and the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). Thaweesak received his M.Eng. in Instrumentation Engineering from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in May 2011 and his D.Eng in Electrical and Information Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi in July 2020.
Scholar Interests: Thaweesak's interdisciplinary research has evolved from industrial mathematics to engineering; and from applied signal/image/video processing to data analytics and industrial applications. His research interests are in Image Analytics, Computational and Machine Visions, Remote Sensing, Image Visualization Systems, and Algorithms. He has special interests in programming and formulating in visual content-examine images for textures, texts, objects, and other image-based contents; and in the development of scientific systems and architectures in the practice of electrical and electronic engineering (emphasizing complex digital data processing, information sciences and systems technologies in the military, as well as medical and industrial information processing centers).
Collaborations: Dr. Trongtirakul together with Distinguished Prof. Dr. Agaian's Research Team have been developing mathematical models for practical imaging applications in Healthcare, Signal Processing, 3D Imaging Visible and Thermal Sensing, Computational Algorithms, Needs-Driven Medical and Biomedical Technology, and Other Related Fields.
