Costume Pick Up

When your dancer's costume is ready for pick up, you will receive an email from us stating it is ready and which studio it is located.

If your costume includes a tutu, When you receive it please remove it from the bag and shake out the skirt. Hang it upside down on a hanger (hang from the bottom part of the leotard) so it is nice and poofy for recital.

Important Costume Information

Dance costumes are not meant to have growing room or fit loosely. Dance costumes are meant to be snug fitting and fit like a bathing suit. Similar to a bathing suit, you want it to hug your dancer's body so it doesn't move around while they dance. (You wouldn't want their bathing suit to move around while they swim!) Also similar to a bathing suit, your dancer will need to "shimmy" to get into it. This does not mean it is too small, this is how it is supposed to fit. Once the costume is on if you think it is too small, tug on the shoulder part and the leotard area in the leg/hip, if there is still a stretch the costume is fine and that is how it is supposed to fit.

Sensory Sensitivities

Unless the dance is a tumbling, Aerial dance..etc where a larger costume would be dangerous, that is fine! Please let us know prior to paying for your dancer's costume that they will need a larger size so we can facilitate that for you. If we are told this information after we already received the costume and you request a larger size you would be responsible for the return shipping costs.

Combo Dance Class Costume

Combo Classes use the same costume for both the Winter and Summer Recital within a season. Dancers who continue in the same combo class in January will need to keep their costume neat and performance ready for the June 2026 Recital. Most combo class costumes are also a 3-in-1 Costume. This means there are a variety of ways the costume can be worn. Your teacher will specify how to wear the costume for the Winter Recital.
