Coach Profiles

Stephanie Mann

My name is Stephanie Mann and I am the Head Coach with the RLGA. I was a gymnast for 18 years and have coached gymnastics for close to 15 years. I love coaching and I am looking forward to mentoring our coaches and delivering a quality, structured gymnastics program to our community. We have so many talented young athletes and I am excited to see them learn and grow!

Emily Reimer

Hi my name is Emily Reimer! I am a mother of 3 and absolutely love my job as a stay-at-home mom! I grew up in Dryden ON doing competitive gymnastics for 10+ years and began coaching in my high school years.

When I moved to Fort Frances in 2019 and heard there was a club starting up I was very excited to join the team of coaches and get back into the world of gymnastics. I love seeing the kids enjoy themselves in the gym and learn and grow as individuals and also in the sport. I love coaching... and I really love to laugh and have fun with the kids as well!

Sara Moen

Hi! My name is Sara Moen. I've been married to my husband for two and a half years, and our son was born last year. We spend our winters in Fort Frances, and our summers working for my husband's family's business on Lake of the Woods. I was in gymnastics for ten years when I was younger, and now I'm glad to be able to coach on Thursdays and whenever I can fill in. My favourite part about coaching is watching the kids learn and grow in their skills, especially when things start to "click" for them. I'm looking forward to a great year!

Carly Veldhuisen

My name is Carly. This is my second year coaching with RLGA. I have enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm the kids bring each week and the progress they make. I am excited to see all that the athletes bring to our program this year.

Christina Dowty

Hi everyone, my name is Christina Dowty.  I was born and raised in Fort Frances but currently live in International Falls, MN with my family.  I am one of the coaches for the Monday nights classes at RLGA.

My husband and I and our three daughters enjoy spending time outdoors, whether we are horseback riding, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, spending time at our cabin on Rainy Lake or going for walks with our two Golden Retrievers.

Growing up I was involved in a lot of activities; Ukrainian Dancing, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Gymnastics and Cheerleading. I was a prior gymnast as a toddler and from the age of 9-18 with the Fort Frances Visserettes.  I started coaching in my last couple years as a gymnast and for a few years after graduation.  Gymnastics, dance and music hold a special place in my heart, when the Rainy Lake Gymnastics Academy opened in 2019 I couldn’t wait to get back in the gym to share my love of gymnastics with the kids and my daughters.

I’m looking forward to this year of gymnastics watching the athletes grow, learn and become more confident, while they fall in love with the sport, like I have.

Stacey Cridland

Hey everyone, My name is Stacey.

I’ve been coaching gymnastics for 2 and a half years. I was in gymnastics as a kid for 9 years with the Fort Frances Visserettes Club. In my spare time these days, you can probably find me at the lake!

Coaching gymnastics brings me so much joy because I love seeing the kids work hard to reach their goals, and seeing their reactions when they finally learned that move they’ve been working on. I look forward to seeing what we can do together this year!

Thank you Stacey for being part of the Rainy Lake Gymnastics Academy Coaching Team.

Rachel Wilcott

My name is Rachel. I am a mother of 2 beautiful girls who also coach gymnastics. I love watching the athletes progress over the season and love learning new things myself. I will be taking the Competition 1 Course this October so I can learn and be ready for when the club is at the competition level. When I am not in the gym I am working or enjoying spending time with my family.

Shannon Venerus-Brown

Hello parents and athletes of Rainy Lake Gymnastics Academy! My name is Shannon, previously a gymnast and coach with Fort Frances Visserettes.

I have been coaching with RLGA for the past 2 1/2 years and so excited to be back in the gym for another season !

I enjoy summer sunshine, time at the lake, horse back riding and spending time with family.

Looking forward to another fun filled year seeing the athletes grow and reach their goals!

Erinne Wreggitt

Hi, I’m Erinne, mom of two active girls, I love spending time outdoors, especially in the summer months. I’m new to coaching but I’m excited to learn along with the students. I’ve been passionate about fitness for some time and this allows me to learn new skills while helping young gymnasts reach their goals. I’m participating in something my daughter loves and keeping my own body moving, plus having lots of fun with the kids in the process.

Kristina Wolf

Hi my name is Kristina Wolff, I am a mom of two young girls who are my inspiration to learn something new myself and begin coaching. I am new to coaching this year and I am super excited to be with the children on Saturdays. I love watching children learn new skills and I am looking forward to seeing their accomplishments throughout the year.
