Throughout their K-12 experience, ALL RUSD students will:

• Engage with a coherent CONTENT course of study aligned to the California Content Standards at their developmental level;

• Improve reading comprehension, analysis, and expository writing skills with a concentrated focus on disciplinary LITERACY

• Develop critical thinking and historical reasoning skills through the practice of historical and social science INQUIRY; and

• Develop the skills and dispositions necessary to participate in a democratic society as engaged and knowledgeable CITIZENS.
