SENTENCES
By Mrs. Adcox's & Mrs. Hernandez's Class Beatty Elementary
This lesson is a Kindergarten end of unit High Frequency word activity. The students have been learning to read, write and, use the high frequency words for several weeks. They used Draw and Tell to choose 4 high frequency words that they knew. They used the tools to write the word, draw a picture, and then recorded their voice using each word in a sentence. The iPad not only increased engagement and allowed for creativity, but it also allowed for differentiation because students could choose the words they were confident in both spelling and using correctly in a sentence. We have used Draw and Tell for many lessons, so the students are very comfortable using it which allows them to display their learning confidently and in a highly engaging way. Our class also loves to watch videos of each other’s learning so the iPad has increased our classroom community as well.
