College articulation is an agreement made between the K-12 school districts and the college system to award eligible students early college credit. Just like an AP class, articulated high school classes are taught by RUSD teachers, have the academic rigor and expectations of a college course, and include a weighted grade. However, students can earn these FREE college units during the regular school day.
Students who demonstrate mastery, as outlined in the agreement, and earn a grade of a B- or better in these classes will be recommended college units for college-level courses at one of our partner colleges.
As part of the articulation process, students are required to create accounts with the California Community Colleges (CCC) and the Career and Technology Education Management Application (CATEMA) systems to earn the units.
