Mr. Bocanegra

Applied Digital Media

Hugo Bocanegra has balanced many jobs, including freelance photographer, graphic designer, and screen printer, over his career while working towards becoming an educator. He received his Bachelor's of Arts in Visual Studies from CSUSB and his Master's in Education & Teaching Credentials from the University of Redlands. He was fortunate enough to join RUSD in the year 2020 as an art educator and is now taking on the role of a CTE instructor as well. Teaching Digital Print has shown him new possibilities in education while allowing him to connect with other professionals in the community.

Mr. Enyeart grew up in Riverside and graduated with degrees from RCC, UCR and CBU. This is his 25th year teaching (17th at Poly High School) and he helped start the video production program at Poly back in 2011.

Chef Lovett | CTE Lead

Chef has been in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry my entire life before deciding to become a teacher. During his time in the Industry he took on many roles from a line cook to General Manager and Chef. One of his passions was opening new restaurants. Chef Lovett enjoyed the training and hiring aspects of opening restaurants in new locations all over California. His love for training brought him to the decision of becoming a teacher in the Culinary field. He says it's great to know that he can offer opportunities in his Industry to our youth.

Sports Medicine
& Injury Management

Megan Lopez spent ten years as the head athletic trainer for Riverside Poly High School before deciding to become a classroom teacher. She received her B.A. in Athletic Training from Point Loma Nazarene University. During her time as an athletic trainer, Megan was a co-advisor for the sports medicine club on campus and helped develop the skills of students interested in the medical field. She also has been a preceptor and clinical site instructor for the Cal Baptist University graduate students who are studying athletic training. Working with students and fostering their passion for the medical field helped her realize her love for teaching. She is excited to integrate her past experiences and love for sports medicine into a hands-on learning experience for her students.

Professional Photography

Courtney Pedroza received her Bachelor's of Art in Studio Art from UCR in 2017. Her emphasis was drawing, painting, and photography. She discovered her passion for teaching art and photography while working at Cornerstone Christian School in Wildomar California from 2017-2019. In 2020 Courtney received her single subject credential and Masters of Art in Teaching from UCI. She spent 3 years teaching drawing and painting at San Jacinto High School. She does freelance photography for families, couples, graduates, and pets when she is not teaching.

Mr. Scott spent his early years earning his Bachelor's of Science from Cal State Long Beach in Engineering Technology. He then went on to earn a teaching credential and Master's of Arts in Digital Teaching and Learning from Azusa Pacific University. He's been teaching professionally for 5 years, all at Poly High School.
