Parents we ask for 6 minutes of your time because it truly leads the direction we make as a site on the focus we need to have between staff, administration and community. Help us to help you all in a meaningful way. RUSD values input from the community and wants to hear from you. Families and students are important educational partners, and your feedback helps improve our communication, academic programs, and the overall experience in our schools. Please complete ONE survey for EACH child you have at a different RUSD school.
Past Months Highlights!
Staff and Student Celebrations
Congratulations to our Franklin winners for both History Day and Science Fair!
The weekend of February 24th was the County History Day Competition. We currently have 4 students chosen as finalists to go to the State Competition in Sacramento for History Day and 1 student moving on to the County Science Fair!
GREAT JOB!
Fundraisers: Kids Heart Challenge and APEX
As a community we have raised $5,500 to support heart health and heart research. Since we fundraised $5,000 AP Chaidez will be silly stringed on March 15th and we are hoping to slime Principal Zuetel if we can make $500 more in the next week! On behalf of the American Heart Association thank you so much for all your assistance!
Now PTO would like to continue the fundraiser by raising awareness for student health with an on site fundraiser through APEX. Beginning March 4th, we will be fundraising for Teacher Grants to spend on our students for the remainder of the school year. This event will focus on student health and will conclude on March 15th with the APEX jogathon. Information will be going home on March 4th.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!
Core Virtue for the Month of March
We focus in March on the virtue of compassion. Compassion is sensing the need of our neighbor and acting on his/her behalf.
Kindergarten to Second Grade:
Compassion is feeling what others are feeling and trying to help with their troubles.Third to Sixth Grade:
Compassion is feeling the pain of others, and acting to end their distress.
