We hope this newsletter finds you well and that 2026 is off to a wonderful start for your family! January was a month full of school spirit, memorable events, and academic fun for our students. Here’s a look back at some highlights and a preview of what’s coming next month.

January Highlights

Spirit Days: Our students and staff showed their school pride by participating in themed Spirit Days throughout the month with an emphasis on Kindness.
Imperial Knights Assembly: The Imperial Knights visited our school, providing an engaging and inspiring assembly. Students learned about courage, respect, and teamwork through interactive demonstrations and storytelling.
2nd Annual Spelling Bee: Congratulations to all the participants in our 2nd annual spelling bee! It was wonderful to see students supporting one another and celebrating their achievements in literacy.

Kids Heart Challenge

We kicked off Kids Heart Challenge! Sign up TODAY at http://www2.heart.org/goto/jfkriverside. Let’s promote healthy & happy hearts while raising donations for the American Heart Association to fight America’s #1 and #4 killers, heart disease and stroke! Our school can also earn funding and PE equipment along the way!

Goals & Celebrations:

Any student who completes Finns Mission will get invited to get a pizza party with admin!
The top fundraising class will get a DONUT PARTY!
When JFK raises $4,000, Asst Principal Geleng will have to Dress up as a DOGGY
When JFK raises $5,000, Principal Richardson will have to Dress up as DOGGY
When JFK raises $10,000, the top fundraising students and students who have completed Finn's mission will get 1 spin on the wheel of misfortune where staff members could get SLIMED, SILLYSTRINGED, CONFETTI, PIE FACE or ICE BUCKETED!
