Volunteer
There are so many ways to get involved! Using your experience, skills, passion, and abilities, we can find the perfect way for YOU to help our animals and staff here at Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter!
Our Highest Need Positions:
Dog Kennels: Our dedicated dog volunteers help with every day cleaning of the inside dog kennels, and exercising our dogs three times a day at 7am, 3pm , and 7pm. Each shift time varies depending on amount of dogs to care for, and if any kennels need extra scrubbing. We are looking for volunteers willing, and able to help provide clean spaces for our dogs.
Cat Condos, Our hard-working cat volunteers need help cleaning the cat condos two times daily; 7:00am, and 3:00pm. You will also have the opportunity to socialize cats during this time. Purrs of gratitude and ears to scratch await as a "thank you" for helping keep our cat rooms cleaned to purr-fection.
Housekeeping: Looking for a good, clean opportunity to help animals? Our housekeeping volunteer help to keep up with the dishes, laundry, and light cleaning all throughout the building.
Fundraising: We can always use more volunteers to help run our fundraisers! We have a wide variety of fundraisers throughout the years. Volunteers are needed to make bake goods for bakes sales, help run food stands, sort shoes during our yearly shoe drive, etc.
