Gifted behaviors in children result from a nuanced interplay of factors:
Firstly, the presence of above-average ability is crucial, spanning various domains such as intuition, creativity, mathematics, science, and more
The second component is creativity, defined as the capacity to generate novel ideas, design solutions, and engage in innovative thinking.
The pivotal third factor is task commitment, denoting the ability to follow through and translate these abilities and creative insights into tangible actions.
Many students grapple with task commitment, predominantly due to challenges related to executive function. Executive function, defined as the brain's aptitude for executing tasks, plays a pivotal role in ensuring that individuals can persevere through various responsibilities, even those perceived as less enjoyable. Therefore, students displaying gifted behavior must commit to and execute tasks diligently and with passion.
