Homework Philosophy

Dear Parents and Students,

Homework is a valuable tool to reinforce the concepts and skills taught in the classroom. It allows students to practice and apply what they've learned in a familiar environment, helping to solidify their understanding. Moreover, homework also serves as a bridge between the school and home, fostering open lines of communication. By engaging with your child's homework, you gain insights into their academic progress, strengths, and areas where they might need additional support.

I understand that your time is valuable and that your child's well-being is paramount. With that in mind, your child should spend no more than 30 minutes on math or science homework. If your child becomes frustrated or the time limit is reached, it's perfectly okay to stop and communicate any challenges they might have faced. Feel free to jot down any notes or questions you have or email me so we can address them together.

Remember, the purpose of homework is not to cause stress but to enhance the learning experience. If you notice your child consistently struggling or spending excessive time on homework, please don't hesitate to contact me. We're here to collaborate and find effective solutions.

Thank you for your continued support in your child's education. Together, we can create a positive and enriching learning journey.

Best,

Mrs. Gerbino
