Spring 2026

Spring is in the air!  As we enter the home stretch of our school year, a lot is happening in 6th grade. Our field trip to Weis Educational Center, 6th Grade Picnic, 6th Grade Dance, Pool Party, and, of course, Graduation!

Even with all the excitement, we are working hard to prepare for the rigors of 7th Grade. In math, we are exploring algebra concepts, working with statistics, and financial literacy skills through budgeting and an introduction to the stock market. 

In Social Studies, students are studying the causes and history of the Civil War. Thoughtfully exploring hard history.  They are learning about important historical figures. Students will complete projects to demonstrate their understanding.

In science, students are exploring Newton’s Laws and later, the universe. They are learning about the Sun and planets. In addition, they are learning to think analytically using CER, claims, evidence, and a reasoning framework. 

As we prepare for the end of the school year. It’s going to be a busy few months! It has been fun watching your children grow and learn throughout the year. I will miss them as a graduate and move on to bigger and better things!
