Week 12 - 13 Plans (May 28 through June 7) : In Weeks 12-13 we explore one last unit of study, algebraic relationships. Students will use variables and algebraic expressions to describe patterns, and explore those patterns in graphs and tables.

Math 6 Overview
Math 6 is a Sixth Grade Common Core-based course, focused on four critical areas: (1) connecting ratio and rate concepts to whole number multiplication and division, and using concepts of ratio and rate to solve problems; (2) completing understanding of division of fractions and extending the notion of number to the system of rational numbers, which includes negative numbers; (3) writing, interpreting, and using expressions and equations; and (4) developing understanding of statistical thinking. Additionally, students in this course extend their understanding of area and volume to explore the concept of surface area and the relationship between surface area and volume.
