Governance
Governance
As the designated custodian of the brand manual, the RITM Communication and Engagement Office (CEO) shall be the Institute's team lead in ensuring the Institute's faithful adherence to its brand policy. The RITM Brand Manual shall be used by the entire RITM workforce, and any individual or group who shall represent the Institute.
The Brand Manual templates shall be made available through a dedicated webpage exclusive to the RITMWeb platform. This is to ensure that the RITM Brand Policy remains confidential to the RITM workforce alone.
CEO shall also provide clearance on any media material that will be produced prior its release for internal and/or external audiences. Any representation of the Institute that is devoid of adherence to brand manual guidelines and is not duly accepted by CEO, shall not be recognized as legitimate, but rather as fraudulent activity.
Event Branding
Units conducting events or activities following an existing, specific branding strategy should regularly consult CEO regarding the harmony of materials and alignment of creative direction to the RITM Brand.
As for units planning to establish new branding strategies for upcoming events, units may opt to request the branding establishment to CEO, or opt to create their event branding strategy and its corresponding materials.
Should the unit produce its own event branding strategy and materials, CEO recommends to have it aligned with the RITM Brand in terms of logo usage, typefaces, and colors to ensure consistency across events facilitated by the Institute.
CEO also highly recommends to conduct a consultation meeting with the requesting unit to thoroughly discuss the execution of the event branding strategy. The requesting unit is advised to make an appointment with CEO through their meeting calendar.
Naming Convention
As an agency under the Department of Health, the Institute shall formally be attributed as “Department of Health-Research Institute for Tropical Medicine” or abbreviated as “DOH-RITM”.
When abbreviated, offices, committees, departments under divisions shall formally be attributed with the division first mentioned then followed by the concerned unit. For example, the Communication and Engagement Office of the Office of the Director can be written as “DO-CEO”.
Otherwise, attributing offices in expanded format shall warrant the use of the comma. See below as an example:
“Health is wealth,” said Dr. Juan Dela Cruz of the Molecular Biology Laboratory, Laboratory Research Division.
