Creative Coding introduces students to the fun of programming through hands-on activities! This engaging course blends digital (plugged) and screen-free (unplugged) learning to build computational thinking through games, storytelling, puzzles, and creative challenges. Using block-based platforms, students will create animations, music, games, and digital art, while collaborating on exciting projects that inspire innovation and problem-solving.

Drama allows students to practice expressing ideas, improve speaking skills, and build social confidence in a safe, supportive space. Through games and activities, they’ll explore drama techniques and prepare for a mini-performance, building comfort with performing in front of others.

This hands-on and creative course invites students to explore the exciting world of food art and cooking! They’ll learn basic kitchen skills, food safety, and simple cooking techniques while discovering how to transform everyday ingredients into visually stunning and delicious creations. 

This energetic course takes learning beyond the classroom with a mix of indoor and outdoor games. Students will play individually, in pairs, and in teams, using RIS’s fields, courts, and sports equipment to stay active. It’s a time to build friendships, develop leadership, and enjoy the benefits of a healthy body, mind, and spirit.

Musical Adventures offers students a summer of sound, creativity, and fun! Through games, instruments, movement, and meditation, students will explore the joy of music while building confidence, fostering belonging, and encouraging teamwork. They’ll sing, play, dance, compose, and collaborate in an experience that connects mind, body, and sound. 

This course challenges students with engaging games and puzzles designed to build problem-solving skills, language development, and cooperation. Working in pairs or groups, students will improve concentration, boost confidence, and foster a love for learning through playful math-based activities.

Origami—the traditional Japanese art of paper folding—encourages students to explore patience, creativity, and fine motor skills. Through simple, step-by-step instructions, students will transform paper into animals, shapes, and artistic forms in a relaxing and rewarding environment.

This fun and supportive course helps students build confidence in the water while improving their swimming technique. Students will participate in structured lessons, water safety exercises, and team-based pool games that enhance coordination, endurance, and teamwork—all while enjoying time in the pool!

This course helps elementary students develop communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships and supporting emotional well-being. Through engaging activities, role-playing, and real-life scenarios, students will learn to express themselves, resolve conflicts peacefully, and show empathy toward others.

Students will bring stories to life by creating their own stop motion videos. Using clay and paper to build characters and sets, they’ll adapt a story into a script, design a visual scene, and animate their creation using the Stop Motion Video app. A perfect mix of technology, storytelling, and creativity! 

This joyful course encourages students to explore their imagination through drawing, painting, and process art. They’ll create colorful masterpieces inspired by nature, experiment with fun shapes and textures, and build their artistic skills using unique techniques and materials.
