Live art classes for elementary students happen two Fridays a month. Zoom links to join are on the art class calendar below and will also be shared on Google Classroom prior to each class as well as a list of needed supplies for class.
4K-2nd grade students meet from 9:00-9:45 am
Gr. 3-5 students meet from 10:00-10:45
Attendance is taken. If a student will miss a class, please send Ms. Gruetzmacher an email to notify her of the absence.
Google Classroom is used to make announcements and to share the zoom link and the supplies needed for each class. This is also where students will submit their 2 finished projects or their digital portfolio at the end of each quarter.

Grading: Students will recieve a quarterly progress grade based on attendance, engagement in class, and effort. Finished projects only need to be formally submitted at the end of each semester. Students will submit at least 3 finished projects for semester grading. (more specifics about the submission process will be shared in class and on google classroom)
Documenting work throughout the semester: Be sure to save and photograph finished projects as they are completed. Students have two options for submitting work on google classroom...
Submit photos of each finished project. Add a short description in the comments.

Create a digital portfolio using the google slides file link below. (You should be prompted to make a copy) Add the students name to the title slide. The questions on the second and third slide are optional. This file then becomes a presentation of all the student's art created throughout the year. It's a great way to see growth from the start of the year to the end.

The live art class for middle school and high school students is for students in grades 6-12 who opt to take live art.
The class meets weekly on Wednesday at 1:00. Class is usually an hour long.
This course is worth 1/2 a credit for students in grades 9-12.
Supplies for art will be including in student supply boxes at the start of the year.
Course materials for all grade levels will be mostly the same, but high school students will use Headrush and middle school students will use Google Classroom.
Many assignments will be completed or at least started in the live class, so it is worth attending regularly.
Attendance is taken. If you need to miss a class, please send Ms. Gruetzmacher an email to notify her of the absence.
Grading is based on attendance, engagement, communication, and work completion. Students will compile their work in a digital portfolio. This is a google slides file that will be updated throughout the quarter. It will be submitted twice per quarter...midway and at the end.
