This is the hub where you will find everything you need for Asynchronous art at all grade levels.
This course does not meet live; however students are expected to turn in at least 2 projects per quarter for grading.
Students can choose from the following options to direct their learning in this course--
Follow along with the recordings of the live art classes (these are compiled in the docs linked below)
Use the library of lessons provided here on this site.
Plan your own independent projects.
Do a mix of all of these options.
Finished projects can either be collected in a google slides file as a portfolio or they can simply submit images of their work for each quarter.
A portfolio is a nice way to keep track of student growth over the course of the school year and it is also an easy way to manage and store images of projects as they are completed. If you choose this option, instead of uploading images of work when it's time to submit at the end of the quarter, students would just submit their portfolio/google slides file.
Use this file to start your portfolio if you'd like to use this option--

Whether students follow along with the live class recordings or they create their own plan, the projects they turn in should show that they worked to the best of their ability. This does not mean perfection, but it should be clear that they put care and thought into their work. Especially with younger students, it is fine with parents/learning coaches need to offer support and assistance. Making art together is a valuable experience.
Students are welcome to follow their interests when it comes to choosing projects. Sculptures out of found objects, lego creations, digital art, etc--these all count as acceptable projects.
