You must be 16 years old, or older and at least 125 pounds (lbs).
If you are a minor, you'll need parent permission before you can donate. The permission slips can be found at either this link: www.bloodworksnw.org or in Mrs. Hemrich's room, room 140.
Anyone who meets the requirements is able to donate.

There are several reasons one might need a blood transfusion, such as: cancer treatments, after a car accident, severe injuries or illnesses, etc. And Blood Drives help ensure that each case has the necessary supply needed to keep people alive.Â
According to the American Red Cross, on average, 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed on the daily in the U.S., meaning there is a constant need for donors. And by simply signing up to donate blood, you could save the lives of up to 3 people.
