What can I do to prepare for testing from home?
Setup a comfortable area that is quiet and has very few distractions.
How do I make sure the computer is compatible for taking the test?
On chromebooks - update the chrome operating system to the latest version.
Use this interactive readiness link to test on the computer the student will be using.
Set display to 100% by holding down shift + crtl+ 0 (zero)
What should we do if the school computer doesn't pass the compatibility test?
Elementary students will return the school device to the LLC and receive another device.
Middle School students can visit IT during chromebook hour, 8-9AM to swap out the device.
How will the students be in communication with the teacher proctoring the test?
Each student will need to open up their classroom Google Meet link first and then launch the testing URL when instructed. Both tabs will be open during testing.
What if the Google Meet connection freezes or drops?
Close the Meet tab at the top and try to reconnect.
Use a seperate device for connecting to the Meet, maybe a phone or second computer.
If there are still issues, continue the test taking and email the teacher regarding the lost Meet connection when testing is completed.
What if the device completely freezes and nothing is accessible?
Restart the device and try to connect back to the Meet and URL testing website. No test data will be lost.
What should we do if our internet is down on testing day?
Do not worry! Each school will be offering makeup test days.
Why can't I see the correct testing screens?
Turn off Pop-Up Blocker. Directions HERE
Make sure computer display (resolution) is 100% • Press Ctrl + Shift + 0 to reset
What is the website address for the test?
My screens shows this message, “Oops! Where’s my test window?” now what?
This message indicates the pop-up blocker is on or the testing window was closed or minimized.
Turn off pop-up blocker. Directions HERE
Refresh the window or close the browser window completely and launch it again.
A minimum screen resolution error appears? What should I do?
