2026 - 2027 Course Selection Important Dates

January 6: Rising Seniors Class of 2026 Course Selection meeting during advisory
January 13: Rising Juniors Class of 2027 Course Selection meeting during advisory
January 15: Incoming 9th grade Open House & Open Choice Fair
January 16: RHS counselors visit SRMS for Course Selection and High School presentation
January 23: RHS counselors visit ERMS for Course Selection and High School presentation
January 27: Rising Sophomores Class of 2028 Course Selection meeting during advisory
January 27: PowerSchool portal opens for students to view recommendations and input course requests
January 28 & 29: High School Counselors available in the cafeteria for drop in advising. Stop by to ask your questions!
January 31 - February 14: All students will meet one-on-one with a counselor to verify/adjust courses and review graduation progress
- - - Current 8th grade as communicated by their school counselor
    - Current 9th grade during PE or Health course between 1/31 and 2/6
    - Current 10th grade during English course between 1/31 and 2/6
    - Current 11th grade must make an appointment with their counselor before 2/13. Please make the appointment during your free block and allow a half hour. Counselor QR codes are on the bulletin board outside the counseling office to make an appointment or you can email your counselor.
February 14th | absolute deadline for course request adjustments. Email your counselor to make changes after your verification appointment

We are excited to welcome students from private/independent schools or those new to town!
Please click here to learn more and to start the district registration process.
Beginning in mid March, RHS school counseling office will begin contacting those students whose registrations are complete to meet with a school counselor. This meeting will allow incoming students and families to ask questions and select their courses for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
