The Basics
RAHS is off Campus; in town. This physical distance provides students space to focus on developing their confidence as learners and identities as young adults.
RAHS has a maximum of 20 students attending at a time. This allows for smaller class sizes and additional support.
There is a social worker at RAHS each day to provide counseling and facilitate FLEX activities.
Students are encouraged to participate in clubs, athletics, assemblies, field trips, after school activities and events, etc., and most do!
Students take a varying number of classes at RHS (see examples below).
Students have an RHS school counselor and administrator on their team.
RAHS teachers are RHS teachers!
Students who graduate while attending RAHS earn a Ridgefield High School diploma and celebrate their accomplishment with their classmates at RHS Graduation.
RAHS follows a block schedule (4 block periods + FLEX and lunch).
Students work toward RHS graduation requirements.
Credit recovery is built into the student's schedule as needed.
Internships are organized with student interest (ex. Pre-k and Town Hall).
Different electives are offered each year!
Online learning platforms are utilized when appropriate for the student.
