Meet Our Staff

This is Mr. Cecere’s 19th year teaching Social Studies at both the Ridgefield and Alternative High Schools.  Teaching at the Alternative High School has given him the ability to work in a small setting, experiment with new methodologies, and help students achieve their full potential over multiple years.

 This is Ms. Sherwill's 10th year teaching in Ridgefield and 1st year at the Alternative High School. She chooses to work at the Alternative High School to help continue and support a community that fosters student independence and success for all learners.  She also enjoys the opportunity to make meaningful connections with students, families, and other educators.

This is Dr. Colon's 8th year in Ridgefield and 4th year at the Alternative High School. She chooses to work at the Alternative High School so she can provide authentic science experiences while simultaneously creating and sustaining interpersonal relationships with every student.  

Danielle DiCamillo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She loves being at the Alternative High School where she gets to connect with the students daily. She also utilizes her background of yoga to help students learn mindfulness and build community. 

This is Mr. Fabbri's 11th year at the Alternative High School and his 31st in Ridgefield. He enjoys teaching here because of the team environment and the opportunity to connect with students on a personal level. He strongly believes this institution is a necessity in this community and provides unique opportunities for every Ridgefield student to be successful.  

This is Mrs. Kowarick's 11th year in Ridgefield and 4th year at the Alternative High School. She loves working at the Alternative High School because the small group feels like a family. It is also a wonderful opportunity to see students throughout the day and across different classes. In this setting, she gets to see all the different ways students succeed and has many different opportunities to provide support. She especially enjoys sharing her love of reading with AHS!
