A Letter from Phi Sigma Sigma...

Welcome to the Theta Eta Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma,

Thank you for taking the time to explore our page and find out what life as a Phi Sig is all about! As a part of the Rider University community for over twenty years, we strive to achieve outstanding scholastic ideals and create lifelong bonds while embracing diversity in membership within our sisterhood. Being elected to serve as the  2022-2023 Chapter President of the Theta Eta Chapter is truly an honor because it allows me to ignite positive change and embrace individuality with the help and support from each and every one of my sisters.

Service and philanthropy are an important part of our Greek experience. Our annual Aim High Week, a week full of events to raise money for our philanthropy, takes place in the fall. It benefits our chapter’s local philanthropy, our Title I partner school, as well as Phi Sig’s national philanthropy—The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation partnered with the Kids in Need Foundation to promote school and college readiness within underprivileged communities. This year, we added our Founders’ Day 5k where we celebrated 109 years of Phi Sigma Sigma sisterhood while raising money for our philanthropy. All these events have allowed us to raise over thousands of dollars towards our philanthropy.

Beyond our involvement through service, Phi Sigma Sigma maintains a strong presence on campus throughout the year. We participate in many Greek-wide events. In addition to our participation, we love to collaborate with other Greek organizations in order to raise money for our philanthropies and enhance Greek unity within our community. With members in Rider’s Student Government Association, Residence Hall Association, NPC Executive Board, Rider Finance Board, as well as, academic and honors societies such as Omicron Delta Kappa (just to name a few), it’s hard to miss Phi Sigs on campus. We are proud of the commitment and involvement that our members dedicate to the Rider community, and love to learn about the wide variety of activities everyone is involved in.

Deciding to join the Phi Sig Sisterhood at Rider has been one of the most exciting and fulfilling decisions I’ve made since coming to campus. Being part of this chapter has not only allowed me to meet my lifelong friends, but it has also broadened my perspectives and refined my leadership skills in the most empowering way. I’m so grateful to contribute to our mission “to inspire the personal development of each sister and perpetuate the advancement of womanhood”.

We have so much to be proud of here at Phi Sigma Sigma and I hope this site gives you a glimpse of how we “Aim High” everywhere we go. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
