Mission Statement
The mission of the SPMS School Counseling Department is to advocate for and empower all students to reach their maximum potential and develop into responsible, productive citizens of the world. The school counseling department believes all students have the potential to succeed and works to promote an environment to encourage personal inquiry and growth, social responsibility, and academic excellence. We carry out this mission daily through our consistent efforts to deliver a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program in an equitable and accessible manner. In partnership with faculty, staff, parents/guardians, and the community, the SPMS School Counseling Department works to help ensure a safe and nurturing environment that allows students to focus on obtaining a premier education while addressing students' social-emotional, academic, and career goals.

The students of Summit Parkway Middle School reach their maximum potential and develop into responsible, productive citizens who lead the efforts to meet and overcome the challenges of an ever-evolving world. They combine their passion with 21st century skills and a deep and abiding belief that they are citizens of the world and it is their duty to make the world a better place.
