The Mission of the Sandlapper CSIS Library Media Center is to provide a variety of learning opportunities to ensure that students and staff are effective users and producers of ideas and information. The library media center will provide access to information resources within the school building and beyond to meet the curricular and the personal needs of the students and staff. The library media specialists will collaborate with teachers to plan instructional units that facilitate learning and will teach information literacy skills within the context of the curriculum. The Sandlapper CSIS Elementary School Library Media Center will offer an enriched learning environment committed to helping students become lifelong learners.
Policies & Procedures
K-2 may have one book checked out to them at a time. Grades 3-5 may have 2 books checked out to them.
Book care is discussed at the beginning of the year. Damaged or lost books will be the responsibility of the student to which the book is checked out.
In the last month of school, all students will be asked to check out 1 book as we begin our inventory for the year.
