 The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) moved its annual celebration from May to September in 2012. The Senate designated September Workforce Development Month in 2021, a major step. South Carolina will award jobseekers, companies, and devoted professionals for its workforce development initiatives in September.

National Career Development Month in November encourages students and workers to plan their careers. Explore job options for all ages in every classroom. Join us for National School Counseling Week, which honors school counselors' essential services and is held annually in the first full week of February, as we honor these professionals' impact on students. 

In February, the CTE community comes together to honor CTE Month®, a time dedicated to highlighting the important role of CTE in preparing students for success in both college and their future careers. Join us in celebrating CTE Month as we acknowledge and honor the remarkable achievements of our CTE teachers and community partners at all levels - local, state, and national. The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is the organization behind CTE Month, which has the support of numerous CTE organizations.
