The library is open from 8:00 a.m.-3 p.m., Mondays - Fridays
Respect everyone in this space. We are all here to learn and grow. Be kind.
At the beginning of the year, students can check out a maximum of two books and only one of those books can be a graphic novel.
After the ELA classes have their library orientations and all students have a chance to get a book, students will be allowed to checkout a maximum of five books.
Books are due two weeks after checkout date. Fines for late books will be waived as long as students bring the books back.
Students who do not return books 60 days after the checkout date will be charged a Lost Fine for the price of the book. When the student returns the book, the Lost Fine will be erased.
Please take care of books that have been checked out. Follow these Book Care tips:
Keep books away from food or drinks; be careful with your water bottles! If your backpack has a side pocket, place your water bottles there and not inside with your books.
Wash hands before reading a book.
Report all damages to Ms. Strickland or Mrs. Daniels for proper repair.
Use a bookmark for saving your place in a book instead of folding the pages. We have lots of bookmarks; please ask for one if you need one.
Never use a writing utensil as a bookmark.
Do not turn a book on its face; this can damage the binding.
On rainy days, be sure books are in plastic bags or in backpacks.
Keep books away from small children and pets.
Don't write in your library book.
Do not pull labels and/or stickers off the books.
The media center has 2 desktop computers available for students to use if their Chromebooks are unavailable. First come, first serve.
Students who need to print need to email the librarian or the librarian assistant what they need printed.
Chromebook Charging station is behind the checkout counter. Students must bring their Chromebooks, plug it up, and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Students may use one of the library available desktop computers. We do not give out loaner chargers.
Student who need a Temporary ID, permanent replacement card, or lanyard should report to the Media Center after the News Show
Students are given an ID at the beginning of the year and can have up to 5 ID's printed for the entire school year.
Students can have a new ID printed for $5. Lanyards are $1. Each Temporary ID is $1. Students can have the money charged to their Parent Portal account or go to the front office to pay the bookkeeper cash.
Students who get a Temp ID charged will also get a ParentSquare message sent to their parents/guardians
